The NSW Breakers have named a 13-player squad for their T20 clash against a touring West Indies team at Cricket Central this Thursday, September 28.

Sammy-Jo Johnson is set to captain the side for the short-format fixture, whilst emerging talents Isabella Malgioglio and Ebony Hoskin have earned their way into the 13.  

Pace bowling sensation Stella Campbell is a chance of making her highly anticipated return to the NSW bowling attack after overcoming an injury picked up during last year’s WNCL season. Campbell’s last appearance in Breakers blue was on December 20, 2022.

It’s quite remarkable… a few weeks back I was presenting at the Cricket South Africa Level 3. Wow! 5 ex-South African cricketers in the room.

I was presenting on Coaching Performance.

During the presentation, we got to talking about the experience cricketers have when they are playing at their best. I got to share the fairly consistent pattern I became aware of as I have spoken with my elite clients on the times they play and perform at their best. What was remarkable was that I got 5 head nods in the process.

Only days after launching the Sydney Thunder’s 23-24 Big Bash kit range, Jason Sangha has gone and launched the Campbelltown Camden bowling attack into orbit. The NSW Men’s Cricket Team will open their domestic season with a pair of matches in Melbourne this week, with rising 19-year-old all-rounder Joel Davies a chance to make his debut for the Blues.

The Blues squad, under the guidance of master coach Greg Shipperd and experienced skipper Moises Henriques, kick off their summer in the 50-over Marsh One-Day Cup competition with a clash against Tasmania on Wednesday September 27, before backing up two days later against Victoria.

Both matches will be played at Junction Oval, beginning at 10.05am (Sydney time) and broadcast live on cricket.com.au, Foxtel and Kayo.
