This was closer than the all-conquering Waratahs wanted from a semi in a season where they were dominant. Phil Melville, Michael Connolly and Daniel Ryan were too good for the Grovers but if not for a 51 one run stand between Father & Son Ryan, Mark Jackson's pfeiffer might have won it for Hillgrove.
