THE SEMIS 1966-67 (A-Res Grade v St Peters)
On a wet first day, it was hard going for Waratahs, with only opener Keith McIntyre (#129) making it to twenty as they struggled to 5-74. Hardy (5-23) and J Watson (3-3) closed the innings out quickly on the second day for St Peters, leaving the Saints with a low total to chase. Any confidence they had reckoned without Waratahs ace new ball bowler Col Marshall (#102) and first change K Lucas, who cleaned up St Peters (Marshall bowling unchanged through the innings), interupted only by a runout to St Peters last batsman.
WARATAHS 99 (Keith McIntyre 24. B Hardy 5-23, J Watson 3-3) defeated ST PETERS 61 (Col Marshall 5-43, K Lucas 4-3) by 38 runs.
