In 1953, S MACKIE (#33) became the first Waratahs player to make a score in the 90's, when he scored 99 for A grade, including a partnership of 102 with G Ferris for the 6th wicket v Uralla. Waratahs led by 131 on the first innings and took out Uralla on the second day in a similar fashion as the first. LAURIE COOPER (#2) held three catches in Uralla's second innings.

In 1976, BRIAN MAIR (#307), before he was elevated to A grade, had the outstanding match figures of 12-59 (6-41 & 6-18) for A-Res grade v YCW. This was Mairy's best match return for Waratahs.
In 1981, GLEN SCHAEFER (#373) had an outstanding match for B grade against St Kilda. Schafe made 118 of Waratahs 188 and then bowled a marathon 31 over spell to take 4-68, including a caught and bowled and give his side victory by 1 run. As Waratahs collapsed in the last ninety minutes of the second day, he made 33 of 8-84.

In 1987, MARK HEMMY (#501) made his sole Waratahs hundred, 113 not out which dominated 2nd grade's innings and was not enough to ensure victory. Hillgrove were at one stage 5-51 in their reply, hitting the winning runs with one over to go in the one day game.
