Juhith Rajesidhiraju – A Glowing Start to Premier Cricket

The Parramatta District Cricket Club appears to have unearthed another exciting young batting prospect in rangy right-handed opening batsman Juhith Rajesidhiraju.
The 2025/26 was one to remember for the young tyro, he scored heavily in the Parramatta Associate’s Under 15 Weblin Shield rep team and he performed solidly in P.D.C.C.’s A.W. Green Shield compiling 199 runs @ 22.11 at the head of the order (H.S. – 70 v. Gordon, 40 v. N.D.) – he shaped promisingly in this series and after his Fifth grade performances this season the club looks forward to his contribution in next years A.W. Green Shield campaign.
But the real story of the youngster’s 2025/26 endeavours revolves around his glowing start to NSW Premier Cricket. He benefitted greatly in his introductory season playing Fifth grade under the leadership and mentoring of experienced allrounder Liam Gillies and his outstanding batting efforts were a key ingredient in that team reaching the Grand Final against a powerful Fairfield team.
Juhith took to Premier Cricket ‘like a duck to water’, at the crease he displayed a great temperate for batting, combining calmness with concentration, a positive approach and a matching array of forceful Stroke-play. His consistency during the season delivered one of the best debut seasons ever recorded by a Parramatta player of his age.
His season’s stockpile of runs amounted to an imposing 677 runs @ 35.53 which erased the club’s longstanding Fifth grade batting aggregate record of 574 established in 1971/72 by former club notable Ronny Eagar. Juhith struck two centuries (125 v. Gordon and 112 v. Manly [Q.F.]) and three half-centuries (52 v. St. George, 59 v. Mosman, 57 v. UNSW) to signpost his undoubted potential.
In this initial season with Parramatta, he featured in two Grand Finals – A.W. Green Shield and Fifth grade – hopefully the defeats suffered in those fixtures spark him on to more impressive deeds in coming seasons.
The first up performances of this still very young batsman have marked him as ‘one to watch’ and as his experience grows the club officials hope that a rich, high-scoring career at Parramatta beckons long into the future.
Juhith’s emergence is another reminder of the outstanding efforts made by club stalwarts Nick Bertus, Paul Giumelli and Luke Dempsey in the development of talented young cricketers through the Parramatta Academy and A.W. Green Shield programmes.
Juhith’s deeds were recognised with his receipt of the First-Grade Captain’s Award.
