With the NSW Men’s Premier Cricket season having come to an end, we’d like to recognise the players who topped the charts with bat and ball for 2025/26.
Leading the batting charge are First Graders Justin Avendano and Tim Reynolds, who amassed 903 and 723 runs respectively. Justin’s return to the Bears after one year away was particularly welcome, with four hundreds (including three in the last four rounds) and a 99* in the opening T20, while Tim made his third First Grade hundred in the win over Western Suburbs.
Jordan Netto had a superb season in both First Grade and PGs, making 616 runs at 32.42, while PGs skipper, Jamieson Hedges made it into the top 10 with both bat (633 runs, including several limited-overs matches as opener where he got us off to a positive start and ball (36 wickets). The top wicket-taker was his team-mate, Hamish Reynolds, who took an impressive 41 at 25.56.
Second Grade had an excellent season and narrowly missed out on finals, so it’s no wonder their players feature prominently in the top 10s. Dilraj Singh amassed 720 runs across 1s, 2s and PGs including his maiden ton in Bears colours, Seb Linnitt (who joined us for the season from Somerset in the UK) made 674 including a hundred, and Aaryan Dixit scored 626. With the ball, Jaden Sequeira sits second on the tally with 40 wickets but got them at a phenomenal average of 16.53, while Liam Whitaker took 27 at 23. Dilraj, Aaryan, Jaden and Liam all made their First Grade debuts during the season.

In the lower grades, Ryan Sood led the way with the bat, making 476 runs across Fourth and Fifth Grade and Green Shield. But it was with the ball that 3s, 4s and 5s really came to the fore. Shiv Vohra was the leading wicket-taker across the whole Fourth Grade competition with 31, including back-to-back 5-wicket hauls. Evander Herbert took 27 across 3s, 4s and PGs including our best bowling figures of the season, 7/59 in Round 15, and 6/21 the following week. Robin Atwal, Daivik Sahni and James Edwards all also had strong seasons with 25, 24 and 24 poles respectively, and Edwards took two five-wicket bags.
