Manly Warringah 3rd Grade Premiers 2010-11

Manly Warringah District Cricket Club | June 18, 2026

The season proved a successful one for Manly’s Third Grade side, led by captain Craig Little, as the team combined consistency with strong individual performances to secure the premiership.

A number of players played pivotal roles throughout the campaign. Matt Cranney topped the run-scoring charts, providing stability with the bat, while Little himself led from the front with the ball, claiming 41 wickets at an impressive average of 13 to finish as the competition’s leading wicket-taker.

Finals performances were instrumental in the team’s success, particularly from Scott Patterson, who proved decisive with the bat. Patterson compiled a crucial 66 in the semi-final and followed it with a composed 50 in the grand final, anchoring the innings under pressure.

The finals series presented its challenges, beginning with a quarter-final that was washed out. In the semi-final, Manly posted 149 to defeat Sutherland, who were dismissed for 115 in a disciplined team performance. The grand final was heavily affected by rain, requiring a patient and controlled approach. Manly batted resolutely to secure a draw, with key contributions from Patterson (50), Andrew Lindsay (56), and Javed Badyari (33).

The premiership marked a significant achievement for the group, notably representing a second Third Grade title for Little, Lindsay, Cranney, and Adam Parkinson, who were also members of the successful 2004/05 side.
