Manly Warringah DCC 2011/12 Club Championship

Manly Warringah District Cricket Club | May 16, 2026

In 2011/12 Manly won the club championship after winning 4 out of 5 grades against Mosman in a tense final Saturday. In the end Manly were only 20 points ahead of Sydney Uni (one 3rd grade win), while Sutherland were also within striking distance going into the last round.

After winning 3rd and 5th grade premierships the season prior, the club lost a number of experienced campaigners so expectations were the season would potentially be a re building one.

However, under the guidance of new club coach Dean Gilchrist and assistant Brett Penprase, Manly took home the club championship and had 4/5 grades qualify for the finals, with 5th grade just missing out. Second and Fourth grade would go on to qualify for the grand finals in their respective grade but unfortunately neither could quite take home the premiership.

The captains through the grades were Tim Cruickshank (1sts), Ryan Bonner (2nds), Craig Little (3rds), Max Burgess (4ths) and Dave Farrell (5ths).
