Corrie Boss - Work ethic on and off the field
Manly Warringah District Cricket Club | April 04, 2026

Over the course of a distinguished cricketing career, Corrie established himself as both a highly effective player and a respected leader within the club. Making his debut in the 2006/07 season in 3rd Grade, he quickly demonstrated his potential and work ethic, steadily progressing through the ranks.
His performances with the ball were a cornerstone of his contribution to the team. Across his career, he claimed an impressive 200 wickets at an average of 25, including 97 wickets at the 1st Grade level. His ability to deliver in key moments was highlighted by his best bowling figures of 5/59, and he achieved the notable feat of taking two five-wicket hauls for the club.
In addition to his bowling achievements, Corrie was a capable contributor with the bat. Amassing 1,104 runs, he recorded three half-centuries, providing valuable lower-order resistance and support when needed.
His playing career spanned until the 2013/14 season, when injury brought his time on the field to a close. However, his impact extended far beyond statistics. A great clubman in every sense, he embodied the values and spirit of the team, earning the respect of teammates and opponents alike.
His leadership qualities were recognised with his appointment as club captain, a role in which he further contributed to the development and culture of the club.
He also spent 2 years on the Board as our Community Manager.
Overall, his legacy is defined not only by his strong on-field performances, but also by his dedication, leadership, and lasting influence within the club.
