Manly Warringah District Cricket Club | April 04, 2026

The 1990/91 England Tour stands as a defining chapter in the club’s history, showcasing both competitive excellence and international camaraderie.

Over the course of 12 matches, the team delivered an outstanding performance, recording nine victories, suffering just a single defeat, and securing two draws—an impressive testament to their consistency and skill on foreign soil.

The tour extended far beyond England, evolving into a broader European and international experience. The squad traveled across five countries—Thailand, England, Scotland, Holland, and France—embracing diverse cultures while representing the club with distinction at every stop.

Leadership played a pivotal role in the tour’s success. Under the captaincy of current President Andrew Fraser, the team was guided with composure and vision.

He was supported by a group of players who would go on to be regarded as club legends, including David Gainsford, Warren Evans, Shawn Bradstreet, David Patterson, and Greg Hill.

Together, they formed a cohesive and determined unit that left a lasting legacy.

More than just a series of matches, the 1990/91 England Tour symbolized a period of pride, achievement, and unity—one that continues to be remembered as a cornerstone moment in the club’s history.
