Manly Second Grade 2011/12

Manly Warringah District Cricket Club | February 28, 2026

The Manly 2nd Grade side of 2011/12 enjoyed an outstanding season, finishing as minor premiers and narrowly defeated in a closely contested grand final during a club championship–winning year.

Led by club stalwart Ryan Bonner, the team combined experienced campaigners such as Aidan Baker and Andrew Lindsay with emerging talents including Dylan Marshall—who represented NSW Under-19s that season—and Javed Badyari.

Baker set the standard with the bat, amassing 429 runs across the campaign. A standout highlight came in the semi-final against Campbelltown Camden, where Javed Badyari and Scott Patterson set a new club record for the highest 3rd wicket partnership in 2nd Grade history, both producing superb centuries.

With the ball, Dylan Marshall led the attack with 39 wickets for the season. Left-arm duo Matt Alexander and Nick McLachlan were also instrumental, claiming 30 and 29 wickets respectively. Both would soon progress to become long-term First Grade players.
