Jarrod Rawlings: A Breakout 2014-15 Season Marked by Consistency and Class

Manly Warringah District Cricket Club | December 09, 2025

The 2014–15 season proved to be a defining campaign for emerging talent Jarrod Rawlings, whose performances across multiple grades showcased both his reliability and his capacity for match-winning brilliance. Across 20 innings, Rawlings accumulated an impressive 664 runs at an average of 37, a return highlighted by two centuries, two half-centuries, and a season-best innings of 169 not out.

Rawlings began and concluded the season in Third Grade, playing a pivotal role in the side’s push toward premiership glory. His extraordinary 169 in Round 1* set the tone for what would become a standout year. As the season progressed, his strong form earned him elevation through the grades, including a memorable 114 in Round 4 for Second Grade, along with several other significant contributions—among them a pair of well-crafted scores in the 70s.

His consistent output did not go unnoticed, culminating in his debut for First Grade, where he contributed a composed 27 against North Sydney, signaling his readiness for cricket at the highest club level.

More than just a season of numbers, Rawlings’ 2014–15 campaign reflected his adaptability, temperament, and value across the club. Whether anchoring an innings, accelerating when required, or stepping up under pressure, his performances were integral to team success—most notably the Third Grade premiership.

Jarrod Rawlings’ breakout season remains a testament to his work ethic and skill, marking him as a player with both immediate impact and long-term potential.
