Isabella Bradley-Labra, Penrith First Grade cap #86

Penrith Cricket Club | May 22, 2026

Isabella Bradley-Labra is a fast bowler and Penrith Cricket Club women's first grade player number 86

What year were you born?

2008

Tell us about your cricket journey. Where did you start junior cricket and the clubs you’ve played for in senior cricket?

I started my junior cricket in a Thunder Girls team, playing for St Clair Hawks, and then I moved onto playing in a team with my brother, going from St Clair Hawks to Glenmore Park Redbacks later on. As for representative cricket, I have only ever played for Penrith in both junior representative teams and the premier club, moving through Mollie Dive, Margaret Peden, Brewer shield, Second Grade and now First Grade.

If you can share with our readers how you would describe yourself as a cricketer?

I am a pace bowler.

What do you enjoy most about playing cricket?

The social connections on and off the field that I’ve been fortunate enough to make, being able to compete with highly skilled cricketers that challenge me, and getting to be a part of a club that gets around each other and constantly makes playing cricket an enjoyable experience.

What’s been your most memorable moment in cricket so far?

Taking a 5-fa In Brewer Shield and also getting my first wickets in First Grade would have to be my most memorable moments. It was really special to reach that bowling milestone, especially at that level, and it’s something I’ll always remember. It meant a lot to see the hard work pay off and to contribute in that way for the team, and it gave me a lot of confidence going forward.

Who is the fastest bowler you’ve played against?

Emma Hughes is by far the quickest and one of the most skilled pace bowlers I know. She is an inspiration to my bowling through constantly setting the standard that I want to reach, bringing purposeful variation, power and pace through every ball.

Who is the best wicket keeper you’ve had the good fortune to play with?

I’ve been lucky enough to play with both Ella Tilburg and Annabel Batty, and honestly I couldn’t choose between them. They’re both such skilled wicketkeepers and all-round players, who make me feel confident as a bowler having either of them behind the stumps, through their reliable and consistent work, and always making an effort to get the tough catches.

Is there a young player in your club you’d like to nominate as a player to watch?

Mithula Venkatesh and Matilda Lett are definitely two players to watch at our club. They both bring great energy on and off the field, and it really shows in the way they play. They’re incredibly skilled developing cricketers, and you can already see how much potential they have. There’s no doubt they’ll go far in their careers, both through at Penrith and further.

Who are the two players you’ve come to admire most in your club in terms of skills and competitive spirit?

Elise Noble and Samantha Dicello (Arnold) are the two players I’ve come to admire most for their skills and competitive spirit. As admirable club captains, they constantly lead by example both on and off the field, showcasing consistent technical ability while taking immense pride in our club. Elise, our most recent captain, has anchored the First Grade side with contagious energy and encouragement as she skillfully brings the group together and builds our confidence as a young club. Similarly, Sam serves as a true idol. As a past club captain and life member of our club, she Inspires me (as a player who has grown up around her leadership) an dis a role model for exactly how a team player should carry themselves and also for how to play the game of cricket with intensity, innovation and game awareness.

What are the two attributes you like to see in a captain and leader?

I like a captain who backs themselves and the team but also keeps everyone positive and working together – someone who can stay calm under the game's pressure and lead by example on and off the field.

Who’s been the biggest influence on your career so far?

My dad (Glenn Bradley) has definitely been the biggest influence on my cricket. He’s been coaching me since I first started playing and has always supported me along the way, becoming my biggest inspiration on and off the field. By spending countless hours training with me and encouraging me, he’s played by far the biggest role in why I love the sport as much as I do. Additionally, Paul Grosse (Grossey) has had a massive influence on my cricket, through his constant support to the club and my individual goals and also by making cricket an enjoyable place to be.

If working, what do you do outside of cricket?

I am studying Civil Engineering at UTS.
