Darren Reeves - Penrith's Top 50

Darren 'Zoidy' Reeves, who grew up in Blackheath, joined Penrith in the 1992/93 season, where he would play with the club until the end of the 1997/98 season.
Zoidy (in his first season) was a part of the Cats successful 1992-93 2nd Grade side, which took home the premiership. In a season where he debuted in 3rd grade, but would be promoted to 2s.
Throughout his Penrith career, Reeves took the field in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade as well as Poidevin-Gray Shield. Zoidy would amass a total of 3,095 runs, 190 catches and 40 stumpings across all grades.

In the 1993/94 season, Reeves would make his debut in 1st Grade, becoming cap #121. He would become a mainstay in 1st Grade over the next 4 seasons. Over his time in 1s, Reeves accumulated 139 dismissals (118 catches & 21 stumpings), while he would score 1,586 runs, including 10 scores of 50+. With a highest score of 94* against Hawkesbury in the 97/98 season.
In 1997, Reeves would head to Adelaide as a part of the Australian Institute of Sport cricket academy. Alongside the likes of David Hussey and Nathan Bracken, he would tour India with the AIS team.
Post-cricketing career, Reeves has moved into Australian Rules Football coaching. In October of 2025, Port Adelaide Football Club announced that Reeves would be joining their coaching panel as an assistant coach.
