The Rapid Rise of Taj Nicholson

Congratulations to Taj Nicholson on his 3rd Grade umpiring debut on Saturday 14th February. Taj, who played for Gordon for several seasons, moved over to the “dark side” and joined the NSW Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association at the beginning of the current season, commencing in Panel 5 (5th Grade). After several solid performances, he moved up to Panel 4 before Christmas and, yesterday, had his first taste of 3rd Grade standing in the Round 15 match between North Sydney and Gordon at Bon Andrews Oval. Not bad for someone who only turns 19 years of age in March! Onwards and upwards, Taj. We are looking forward to seeing you in higher Grades over the coming seasons.
