Kevin Green earns CNSW Life Membership

St George DCC President, Kevin Greene has been awarded a Cricket NSW Life Membership. He was presented his Life Membership on Monday 15th of September at the CNSW AGM. Also awarded Life Memberships were NSW and Australian greats Alex Blackwell and Len Pascoe.
Kevin has been a tireless servant of our great game for many a decade and as you will see below is thoroughly deserving of such prestigious recognition.
Coaching
- Kevin commenced junior coaching 1975/76 season while in Year 11, concluded, with occasional breaks, 2015/16
- Junior rep coaching with occasional breaks, 1977/78 – 2011/12 , including St George AW Green Shield (1980/81 – 1986/87)
Administration
- Illawarra Catholic Club Cricket Committee from 1976/77 – 2013/2014 (37 years President), Life Member, Patron
- Georges River Penshurst Juniors then Georges River St George Committee – 1978/79 – 2004/2005 President 17 years
- Georges River Penshurst Seniors then Georges River St George Committee – 1979/80 – 1994/95 President 8 years
- Georges River St George DCA President 2005/06 -2006/07 now St George DCA, Life Member and Patron
- St George DCC Committee 1981/82 – 1986/87, 2006/07 President 2007/08 – present, Life Member
- NSW Junior Union Executive 1984/85 – 1986/87

In Kevin's acceptance speech he thanked St George legend Murray Bennett for coming down from the North Coast to speak to the nomination as well as the great Warren Saunders for the wonderful support, encouragement and mentorship he had provided for over 50 years and to all the generous volunteers and friends who’d contributed to this prestigious award. Kev also made particular mention of the enormous support that his wife, Frances, had given throughout their marriage. Kevin said, "Without Frances' commitment, this Award and any recognitions I’ve been fortunate to receive in cricket and other endeavours would not have been possible".
