Normanhurst Cricket Club – Centenary Report 2026

Normanhurst Cricket Club | May 10, 2026

Normanhurst CC was delighted to celebrate its Centenary in 2025-26, exactly 100 years after claiming the inaugural Hornsby Ku-ring-gai & Hills District Cricket Association Inc. (HKHDCA) A Grade premiership (T. E. Rofe Shield) in 1926-27.

The season concluded with a memorable Centenary dinner at Hornsby RSL Club on 18 April 2026, which featured Steve Waugh as the special guest speaker.

Bruce Wood was honoured to be asked to compile a comprehensive Centenary Report, which contains over 31,000 words and 250 photos. The detailed report includes chapters covering the historical periods in the Club’s history; articles on the Club’s three international cricketers; reflections from some former Club identities over different eras; various coaching programs (including one conducted by Shane Warne); a snapshot of Senior and Junior Cricket at the Club; HK&HDCA Premierships won by our Club’s teams; perpetual trophy winners; relevant cricket statistics; Life Members, etc.

The Centenary Report can be viewed via the Club’s website – www.normocricket.com.au

We hope you enjoy browsing through the 100 pages and getting a sense of one of the great community cricket clubs in Sydney, where everyone is welcome, supported and well coached to improve their skills and love of the game.
