Q: Following the success of the Cricket Blast program, the Alice Springs Cricket Association (ASCA) is now preparing for their Under 10s cricket season to get underway with games starting from 16 February 2024.

All five Alice Springs Cricket Clubs will have teams participating in the competition, with registrations now open.

Q: Job Opportunity with Northern Territory Cricket - Head of Clubs and Competitions

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this newly created senior management role will have oversight of clubs and competitions across Darwin, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs regions. The Head of Clubs and Competitions will primarily focus on leading, managing, administering and developing the Darwin and Districts Cricket Competition (DDCC) - including Senior, Women’s and Junior divisions.

An experienced operations leader with a strong understanding of the community sport environment, you will make an impact by delivering a professional and exceptionally well-run DDCC, offering great experiences, growing participation, and driving increased commercial sponsorship and revenue.

The role will determine the structure of competitions, formats and scheduling, as well as setting the rules and regulations that govern competitions. In addition, administering all financial, communications, competition management systems and disciplinary matters. The candidate will also play a key role in supporting the growth and development of local clubs within a national framework, including in the areas of governance, funding, member protection, volunteers and facilities.

Q: NT Cricket are thrilled to announce that a packed 2023 Cricket 365 Program will conclude with the return of the CDU Men’s Top End T20 Series, powered by Dafabet.

Beginning on Sunday 30 July, this year’s series will see 5 teams join the NT Strike and battle it out across 16 action packed T20s and 8 days of cricket at DXC Arena, TIO Stadium and the picturesque Gardens Oval.

Each team will play 5 fixtures during the round robin, getting the opportunity to play each opponent once. The top two teams will then face off in the Final on Sunday 6 August.
